As of the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has registered over 36,600 instances of wage arrears, which is 6% more compared to the previous year.

A significant portion of the debts, around 2,000, originated back in 2017. Last year, a record 9,100 cases regarding wage debts were opened.
More than a quarter of all debts are attributed to enterprises operating in the chemical production sector.
Dnipropetrovsk Region ranks first in the anti-ranking, accounting for over a third of all wage arrears. Rivne Region recorded 530 instances of debt, placing it among the top five regions with the largest debts.
