FSB Agent from Rivne Region Coordinated Attacks on Kyiv’s Energy Facilities

The counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has detained another FSB agent who coordinated air attacks on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure and spied on Ukrainian military forces.

This is reported by Rivne24

She was involved in gathering information, specifically searching for and transmitting photos, videos, and coordinates of Kyiv’s thermal power plants, which became targets of new missile and drone strikes from the invaders.

It has been established that the agent is a resident of the Rivne region, who caught the attention of the occupiers while trying to find “easy earnings” in Telegram channels.

After being recruited, she was sent to the Kyiv region, where she inspected local thermal power plants and documented their condition after regular attacks from the Russian Federation. Later, the agent received a new task: to travel to the Odesa and then Chernihiv regions to monitor the movement of echelons and columns of Ukrainian forces.

To gather intelligence in the Odesa region, she initially settled in a hotel room overlooking the local Ukrzaliznytsia station, from where she observed the movement of trains carrying military equipment.

Then the suspect moved to Chernihiv region, where she rented an apartment near the highway. On the windowsill of her home, she installed a phone camera with remote access for the FSB.

Thus, the Russian special service hoped to track the number and types of military equipment heading to the front lines.

Counterintelligence officers of the SBU detained the agent in Chernihiv region. They seized two smartphones, interchangeable SIM cards, and other evidence of collaboration with the enemy. Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed her of suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason in conditions of martial law).

The criminal is currently in custody without the right to bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
