Investigators from the VPU No. 2 (Rokitne settlement) together with migration police operatives and border guards documented the criminal activity of a 43-year-old resident of the Sarny district under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
Law enforcement officials established that the suspect promised a conscript-aged man to illegally leave Ukraine for 200 dollars. He planned to transport the “client” on a motorcycle, bypassing the checkpoints, but was caught by the authorities.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine).
The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
In addition, the police drew up an administrative protocol against the “client” under Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine).
