The investigation has established that in the spring of 2023, a 36-year-old man, attempting to satisfy his sexual needs, committed sexual acts against his minor stepdaughter without her voluntary consent. The perpetrator was aware that the girl was a minor.
Recently, police from the VPU No. 2 (the village of Rokytne) together with fighters from the “Predator” unit located the suspect in one of the forest areas of Rivne Region. It is known that the man was wanted by law enforcement authorities.
The investigator detained him and informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime.
The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days without the possibility of bail.
In addition, as part of the pre-trial investigation, the police are checking the suspect’s possible involvement in similar crimes against his stepdaughter.
