The accused from Rivne will face trial for attempted fraud.

According to the investigation, the man learned about a woman’s legal troubles and offered his services to “resolve” her issues with law enforcement. He claimed that he could influence the course of the pre-trial investigation and ensure a favorable decision.
The man persuaded the victim to provide an unlawful benefit to officials, assuring her that this was necessary to avoid criminal liability.
The cost of his “services” was $30,000.
The actions of the accused have been classified as a completed attempt of fraud in particularly large amounts, as well as incitement to provide unlawful benefits, which falls under Articles 15, 190, and 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At this time, the accused does not admit his guilt. If proven guilty, he faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
