After completing his studies, he worked not only in Ukraine but also abroad. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Maksym Baranovskyi voluntarily decided to defend his homeland.

“He considered it his duty to go and protect Ukraine and his family from the invaders. Maksym quickly adapted to military service and mastered all the necessary skills – he was respected and valued. He was not just a soldier, but a person with a big heart and a strong character. He will be remembered as a kind, brave, and bright person who was always ready to support, help, and stand up for others,” said the Defender’s mother.

In 2022, the serviceman was awarded the Presidential Honor “For the Defense of Ukraine”.

Unfortunately, 38-year-old soldier Maksym Baranovskyi was killed on April 5, 2025, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. Only recently was it possible to identify the body of the warrior.

The Defender is survived by his mother, stepfather, sister, and two nieces.
