In Rivne Region, a final tribute was paid to three fallen defenders: Maksym Shevchenko, Ivan Polishchuk, and Anatoliy Denyshchuk.

Maksym Shevchenko, born in the village of Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region, was born on June 26, 1994. He obtained a philological education at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and met his wife during his studies. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Maksym moved with his family to Rivne Region to stay with relatives. Although he had not served before, he decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with his brother. He initially fought as part of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade and later in the Third Separate Assault Brigade. Maksym participated in combat operations in various directions, from Lysychansk to Avdiivka. He was killed on October 15, 2025, during a battle with the occupiers in Luhansk region. He is survived by his parents, brother, and wife. Maksym was buried at the Alley of Heroes in Rivne.
Ivan Polishchuk was born on November 3, 1996, in the village of Yuchyn in the Rivne district. He studied at Tuchyn School and later at Rivne Vocational Lyceum, where he trained as a car repair mechanic. After graduation, he worked in car workshops in Rivne. At the beginning of the invasion, Ivan joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His family and friends remembered him as a kind and sincere man, always ready to help. On June 10, 2025, Ivan Polishchuk was killed while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. His body was only recently identified and returned to his family for burial. He is survived by his mother and sister. Ivan was buried in the local cemetery in the village of Tuchyn.
Anatoliy Denyshchuk, a grenade launcher of the ranger battalion, was born on January 1, 1994, in the village of Zaborol. For a long time, he was considered missing in action. On November 1, 2024, Anatoliy heroically fell during a combat mission. He was buried in the local cemetery in the village of Zaborol.
