A traffic accident recently occurred in Sarny on European Street, where a Volkswagen driver fled the scene.

According to the patrol police, a 21-year-old driver of a Skoda reported to law enforcement that while driving in the far left lane, a Volkswagen overtook him. During the lane change, the Volkswagen damaged the front part of the Skoda. The Volkswagen driver did not stop and continued driving, leaving the accident scene.
The patrol officers quickly began searching for the offender. Soon, they managed to locate the 69-year-old driver who had fled.
He was charged with administrative offenses under Articles 122-4 (Leaving the Scene of an Accident) and 124 (Traffic Violation Causing an Accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
