Rivnenshchyna Bids Farewell to Three Heroes: Serhiy Saliy, Valeriy Filovets, and Andriy Markovych

A farewell ceremony was held in Rivnenshchyna for three defenders of Ukraine – Serhiy Saliy, Valeriy Filovets, and Andriy Markovych, who gave their lives for their homeland.

Serhiy Saliy, a native of Kostopilshchyna, was born on September 10, 1998. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 26, 2022, where he served as a crew commander of unmanned aerial systems. During his service, he demonstrated courage, professionalism, and dedication to his duty, for which he was awarded numerous honors. Unfortunately, he was killed as a result of enemy shelling on April 5, 2026.

Valeriy Filovets, born on July 22, 1975, lived in the village of Pidloztsi. He gave his life for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, dying on April 6, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Andriy Markovych, who was born on July 27, 1975, resided in the village of Molodava Druhe in the Pryvilne Territorial Community. He began defending Ukraine back in 2014 and returned to the military in August 2024. Andriy was known for his motivation to serve and professional growth. Unfortunately, his life was cut short on April 5, 2026, due to injuries sustained.
