In Sarny, a 16-Year-Old Motorcyclist Caused an Accident While Intoxicated

Yesterday in Sarny on Shevchenko Street, an accident occurred, resulting in no injuries.

Patrol police inspectors determined that a 16-year-old driver of a Lifan motorcycle was not adhering to safe speed and distance, which led to a collision with a Volkswagen vehicle.

During their interaction with the young man, law enforcement noticed signs of alcohol intoxication. The examination revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.72 per mille.

Several administrative protocols were drawn up against the motorcyclist for:

  • Part 2 of Article 130 (driving under the influence of alcohol repeatedly within a year) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
  • Article 124 (causing an accident) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
  • Part 1 of Article 126 (driving without the appropriate documents) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
  • Part 1 of Article 121-3 (driving a vehicle without a license plate) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
  • Part 5 of Article 126 (driving without a driver’s license) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
