Doctors from the skin dispensary conducted an outreach appointment in Mlyniv, where they examined 89 local residents. This allowed people to avoid traveling to Rivne for screenings for skin diseases and malignant tumors.
This is reported by Rivne24
During the examinations, the following were detected:
- two melanomas, which are malignant tumors that develop from melanocytes and can spread through lymph and blood to other organs;
- five cases of basal cell carcinoma, which rarely metastasizes but can destroy surrounding tissues;
- three cases of actinic keratosis, a precancerous condition caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
Additionally, cases of psoriasis, total alopecia, eczema, and infectious skin diseases were diagnosed for the first time.
The next outreach visits by the medical team are scheduled for:
- October 9 – Kostopil Primary Health Care Center;
- November 6 – Sarny Primary Health Care Center.
