A 27-year-old resident of Zdolbuniv contacted the police after discovering that his bag was missing cash amounting to 2400 US dollars and 950 euros.

Law enforcement identified the individual involved in the theft as a 37-year-old resident of Rivne. During the investigation, it was revealed that on September 15, the man was working as a taxi driver and was transporting the victim to the hospital.
The driver asked the client to lend him 2000 hryvnias, to which the client agreed, exchanging 100 dollars at a currency exchange. Upon arriving at the medical facility, the victim took part of the money, leaving his bag in the vehicle.
Seizing the opportunity, the taxi driver stole all the cash. The perpetrator confessed to the crime and voluntarily returned the stolen money to the police. Currently, the issue of notifying him of suspicion is being resolved.
