The Death of a Defender from Rivne Region: Farewell to Take Place on December 26

The Sarny City Council has confirmed the death of 41-year-old soldier Petro Stepanovych Bukhal, a resident of the city of Sarny.

This is reported by Rivne24

In civilian life, Petro worked at a car service station, where he established himself as a master of his craft — hardworking and responsible, always ready to help others. He loved fishing, valued tranquility, sincere conversations, and the simple joys of life. Relatives, friends, and all who knew him will forever remember his kindness, friendliness, and openness.

In August 2025, the Defender, with the call sign “Smiley,” was mobilized into the ranks of the 71st Jaeger Brigade. During his service, he bravely fulfilled his military duty, remaining loyal to his oath and combat comrades. Petro gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine, for our peaceful future, for the right to live on native land under the Ukrainian flag.

On December 17, 2025, Petro Stepanovych passed away in the hospital due to complications from injuries sustained while carrying out a combat mission in Sumy region.

The fallen Defender is survived by his wife, two sons, and a sister.
