A serious road traffic accident occurred on the highway near the village of Tykhe, resulting in three young people being hospitalized.

The incident took place on September 11 at around 12:15, as reported by the police of the Rivne region.
According to preliminary data, an 18-year-old driver of a “BMW” from the village of Drozdyn failed to maintain a safe distance and was inattentive, resulting in a collision with a “DAF” truck. The truck driver, a 33-year-old resident of the Zhytomyr region, reduced speed to avoid hitting a tire that was lying on the road.

After the impact, the passenger car was thrown into the oncoming lane, where it collided with another “MAN” truck driven by a 40-year-old resident of the Poltava region. As a result of the accident, the BMW ended up in a ditch.
As a result of the accident, three passengers in the BMW required medical assistance:
– A 19-year-old resident of the village of Drozdyn with a complex pelvic fracture;
– A 19-year-old resident of the village of Poznań with a closed head injury and concussion;
– An 18-year-old resident of the same village with a chest contusion.
According to the police, all drivers were sober at the time of the accident. A criminal proceeding has been opened, and a pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the event.
