In a fatal car accident that occurred on January 3 around 6 a.m. on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Kryliv, a woman and her daughter were killed.

Investigators established that a 32-year-old driver of a “Renault Zoe,” traveling towards Rivne, veered into the oncoming lane on a narrowed section of the road. As a result, he collided with a “Kia Rio” driven by a 49-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia.
Due to the impact, the “Renault” was pushed into a “Volkswagen Golf” that was following behind the “Kia.” Unfortunately, the driver of the “Kia” died at the scene, and her 12-year-old daughter passed away in the ambulance. Another daughter, aged 15, sustained a closed head injury, a concussion, and bruises, and was hospitalized in the trauma department.
The driver of the “Renault” suffered multiple injuries and is currently in intensive care. The question of his detention is being resolved procedurally.
A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
