Ukrainian Man Arrested in Poland in Connection with the Murder of a 14-Year-Old Girl

In the Greater Poland Voivodeship, law enforcement officials have arrested a 24-year-old Ukrainian citizen in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl, whose body was found in a rented apartment in the town of Kępno.

The teenager’s body was discovered on Thursday, January 29, lying on the floor of the residence while her mother was at work. The spokesperson for the Kępno police, Anita Wyleńga, reported that no obvious signs of bodily harm were found during the examination of the body.

The reason for the discovery of the body became known when neighbors heard water running from the apartment and informed the owner. The apartment was locked.

Prosecutor Marcin Kubjak noted that according to the autopsy results, the cause of the girl’s death was asphyxiation. Although no external injuries were found on the body, the medical examination confirmed the violent nature of the death.

In this case, a 24-year-old man has been arrested and has already been charged with murder. He faces a prison sentence ranging from 10 years to life imprisonment.
