On September 22 at 10:52, the Emergency Service “101” received a report of a fire involving a passenger car on Mlynivska Street in the city of Rivne.

An emergency response team from the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit of Rivne quickly arrived at the scene.
Upon arrival, the rescuers found that the engine compartment of the Volkswagen Jetta was engulfed in flames. Firefighting agents were immediately deployed to extinguish the fire. Since the vehicle was equipped with a gas system, the firefighters implemented special measures to cool it down to prevent overheating and a potential explosion, and they also disconnected the battery terminals.
As a result of the fire, only the engine compartment of the vehicle was damaged.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. Specialists are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the material damage.
One fire truck and four rescuers were involved in extinguishing the fire.
