According to information, three military personnel were involved in the construction works in the Zolochiv district, including two drivers and an electrician. The military personnel formally remained at their deployment site, receiving financial compensation from the state.
In addition to their base salary, they also received additional payments and were repeatedly awarded certificates for their “service,” as noted in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

The construction lasted over 1.5 years, starting from March 2024, with more than 1.3 million hryvnias spent from the military unit’s budget.

During searches at the construction site, two military personnel were found who had returned to their official duties. Another serviceman has been serving in the Sumy region since July.

The commander has been charged with exceeding his official powers, leading to serious consequences under martial law, in conspiracy with a group of individuals. The court has chosen a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail set at 1.3 million hryvnias.
