Water Quality in the Styr River Meets Environmental Standards

The study confirms that the operation of the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant does not deteriorate the ecological condition of the Styr River.

This is reported by Rivne24

In December 2025 and throughout the year, the chemical composition of the water in the Styr River in the vicinity of the power plant met the established environmental standards.

This data is confirmed by the ecological and chemical laboratory of the environmental protection service of the Rivne NPP.

The analysis of water quality before and after the discharge of wastewater from the NPP showed that the physico-chemical parameters remain stable.

No exceedances of the permissible discharge limits established by the State Agency for Water Resources of Ukraine in the “Special Water Use Permit No. 128/RV/49d-23” were found in the wastewater.

The discharge of wastewater from the industrial site of the power plant does not negatively impact the ecological condition of the river and does not have a detrimental effect on the surrounding environment.
