Today, while carrying out his official duties, a community rescue officer in Dubno district came across a suspicious object that resembled an explosive device.
The metal object was found in an open area near a populated locality. A quick identification confirmed that it was an artillery shell leftover from World War II.
Since the beginning of the year, bomb disposal experts in the Rivne region have already destroyed 239 munitions from World War I and World War II.
