A Young Man Sentenced for Domestic Violence in Rivne District

From December 2024 to May 2025, a 25-year-old resident of the village of Kryliv systematically committed domestic violence against his 45-year-old mother. The young man verbally abused the woman with foul language, threatened her with physical harm, and pushed and pulled her by her clothing.

This is reported by Rivne24

The police repeatedly filed administrative reports against the abuser, while the court held him accountable.

In June 2025, the court revoked the young man’s right to drive vehicles for one year. However, he continued to drive cars, which again led to the filing of administrative reports.

The previously convicted offender was notified of the suspicion, and the investigator completed the pre-trial investigation, the materials of which were sent to court.

As a result of the case review, the court issued a verdict: 1 year of restriction of liberty and an obligation to complete a program for offenders within three months.

At this time, the verdict has not yet taken legal effect and can be appealed within 30 days.
