Andriy Makarchuk was born in the village of Kukly in the Manevytskyi district. At the age of three, his family moved to Varash, where he spent his childhood and youth.

He studied at Lyceum No. 3 and later obtained a degree in thermal energy at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use. After completing his studies, Andriy worked at the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant.
In June 2022, amid the full-scale war, Andriy was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Initially, he served in the Chernihiv Territorial Defense, and later became a fighter in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Naval Forces of Ukraine. His combat path took him through the hottest spots — Sumy, Donetsk, and Kupiansk.
For his bravery and diligent service, the 41-year-old warrior has already received awards, including ‘Combatant’ and a Letter of Appreciation from the command of the Tactical Group ‘Konotop’.
