The Rivne District Court has ruled that the mother of released soldier Dmytro Panchuk must return nearly 3.9 million UAH to him. The dispute arose after the woman received over 4.2 million UAH from the military unit but refused to return it and deregistered her son from their residence.

Information about the court’s decision was published on April 13. Judge Oleksandr Krasovskyi partially granted Dmytro Panchuk’s claim, ordering Liudmyla Panchuk to repay 3,894,338 UAH, which she received during his captivity.
Additionally, the court ordered the defendant to cover court costs amounting to 14,761 UAH. The decision will take effect after the appeal period expires – in 30 days.
Dmytro Panchuk approached the court because his mother refused to return the funds received. According to the plaintiff, during his captivity, the family received about 125,000 UAH each month. Over 32 months, the total amount of payments exceeded 4.2 million UAH.
At the first court hearing on March 20, the mother’s lawyer, Alla Filatova, proposed a settlement agreement: to pay 5,000 UAH monthly and reinstate the son’s registration at the house, but Dmytro rejected these terms.
It is known that Dmytro Panchuk signed a contract with the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade before the full-scale invasion began. He was captured, where he remained for three years, and was released on May 6, 2025. He is currently serving again.
