After completing his mandatory military service, he worked in various positions, including as a chief mechanic responsible for servicing large vehicles.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russia, Vitaliy Dranovskyi voluntarily decided to defend his homeland.
“This was his conscious decision. He didn’t even tell us that he went to undergo a commission at the TCK. Vitaliy had a patriotic stance – he spoke about his service with enthusiasm. He was a sincere person who loved his country and family. He was always positive, filling everyone around him with energy. His comrades spoke warmly of him – he could handle any job. In civilian life, he was passionate about cars and fishing,” said the Defender’s wife.
Unfortunately, the 50-year-old junior sergeant was killed on April 3, 2026, while performing a combat mission in Sumy region.
Vitaliy is survived by his wife, son, mother, and stepfather.
The farewell to Vitaliy Dranovskyi will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 10:00 AM at Independence Square in Rivne. A memorial service will be held at the Holy Protection Cathedral, and the serviceman will be buried at the Heroes’ Alley in the “Nove” cemetery in the regional center.
