Research conducted by the Comprehensive Laboratory for Monitoring Environmental Pollution of the Rivne Center for Hydrometeorology revealed exceedances of average daily concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of Rivne from January 19 to 24, 2026.

In particular, the following pollutants were recorded at exceedance levels:
- nitrogen dioxide – 1.24 and 1.44 MAC (January 19, 20)
- phenol – 1.38 MAC (January 19)
- hydrofluoric acid – 1.58, 1.63, 1.75, and 1.55 MAC (January 20, 21, 22, 24)
- formaldehyde – 1.76 MAC (January 21)
The maximum allowable concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of populated areas, or MAC, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 813 dated May 10, 2024, are essential for air quality monitoring.
