In the territory of the Puscha Radzivila National Park, the presence of the Swallowtail (Papilio machaon) has been recorded.

This butterfly, along with other early insects, is one of the first and most significant pollinators of forest grasses. Its presence indicates the absence of chemical pollution and the preservation of the natural balance in the forest.

The Swallowtail is a rare representative of Ukrainian fauna, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. Its population is declining due to human economic activities.
