A 39-year-old woman suspected of murdering her acquaintance is currently in a temporary detention facility. Under Ukrainian law, she faces a potential sentence of imprisonment ranging from 7 to 15 years.

The incident occurred on March 18, when medical personnel reported to the police about a 49-year-old resident of Varash who had been hospitalized with a penetrating chest wound around 06:30.
Law enforcement officials determined that the day before, the man had been drinking alcohol in the company of the 39-year-old woman. Around 02:50, a domestic conflict arose between them, during which the woman stabbed the man in the chest with a kitchen knife.
After this, the victim left the residence and sat at a public transport stop nearby. At 06:20, he was discovered by passersby who called for medical assistance.
Unfortunately, despite resuscitation efforts, the man died in the hospital.
The investigator detained the woman in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the prosecutor informed her of the suspicion of committing a crime as stipulated in part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder).
The court today, March 20, has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention for 60 days without the possibility of bail.
