According to preliminary data from the investigator, the driver of the “Mercedes-Benz Arocs” truck, a 44-year-old resident of the Zhytomyr region, lost control while navigating a roundabout due to inattention and collided with a concrete pillar.
As a result of the traffic accident, the man sustained a closed head injury, a concussion, a leg fracture, and multiple bruises. He was hospitalized.
The driver stated that he felt unwell while driving; however, the examination revealed that he was in a sober state.
The investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules.
