Operatives from the Drug Crime Investigation Department, together with investigators from the investigative department, supported by the criminal analysis department and under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office, documented the criminal activities of three residents of the Bereznivka territorial community. Among them are a 24-year-old resident of the village of Orlivka and two 30-year-old men from the village of Horodyshche.

The law enforcement officers found that the suspects independently purchased and stored cannabis, which they later sold “from hand to hand” and through postal shipments. Eight instances of drug sales were documented.

On March 17, police, with the support of special forces, conducted three authorized searches at the suspects’ residences. As a result of these actions, over 10 kilograms of cannabis, 30 grams of extract, electronic scales, handwritten notes, drug use devices, mobile phones, and a bank card were seized. The drugs were stored in matchboxes and glass jars, which were even hidden in pits.

Two 30-year-old residents of the village of Horodyshche have already been notified of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of selling drugs in large quantities). One of them is also charged under Part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal sale of drugs).

Currently, the issue of notifying the 24-year-old resident of the village of Orlivka of suspicion and choosing preventive measures for all three suspects is being resolved.

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 6 to 10 years with confiscation of property.
