In the battle for Ukraine, Senior Soldier Yaroslav Ivanovych Sad, a contracted serviceman, was killed.

On November 11, 2025, the camouflage specialist of the 2nd engineering section of the 2nd platoon of the command post equipment of the engineering-position company of the support battalion was carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Oleksandro-Kalynove in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region.
Yaroslav was only 22 years old.
He was born and spent his childhood in Varash, where he attended the lower grades of Varash Lyceum No. 1. The son of a local entrepreneur and shoemaker Ivan Sad, he later moved with his mother and sister to Volyn region, where he lived.
At the age of 18, Yaroslav enlisted for mandatory military service in military unit 3077 of the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2023, under the call sign “Frenchman,” he signed a contract and later transferred to the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of military unit 3057 of the National Guard.
The farewell and burial of Yaroslav Sad will take place on November 21 in the village of Kiyazh, Dorosyniv community of Volyn region.
