Quarantine in Kvasyliv: restrictions due to a case of rabies in a cat

In the village of Kvasyliv, according to the decision of the State Emergency Anti-Epidemic Commission, quarantine restrictions have been implemented due to a confirmed case of rabies in a cat that occurred at the address: 60 Rivnenska Street.

The quarantine covers the following areas:

  • from the intersection of Perspektyvna Street with Rivnenska Street to the end of the village boundaries to the West;
  • along Tykha Street to the intersection with the railway track from the intersection of Tykha Street with Rivnenska Street;
  • to the East along Davnia Street to the end of the village boundaries from the intersection of Rivnenska Street with Davnia Street;
  • from the intersection of Rivnenska Street to the railway track;
  • to the North along the railway track to the intersection with Tykha Street, as well as to the South along Perspektyvna Street and Davnia Street to the end of the village boundaries.

The affected area is recognized as the defined boundaries of the village of Kvasyliv, and a threatening zone has been established, covering the territory of the settlement.

In this regard, exhibitions and dog breeding are prohibited in the affected area, as well as the transportation of dogs, cats, and wild animals outside its boundaries.

Pet owners are urged to adhere to the Rules for Keeping Pets, timely conduct preventive vaccinations, and avoid uncontrolled walking of dogs and cats.

Quarantine restrictions may be lifted after 2 months from the last case of rabies in animals, provided that the Action Plan for eliminating the rabies outbreak in cats is implemented and the current Instruction for combating rabies in animals is followed.
